Communication is better and information is easier to access than before. Therefore, universal boundaries have been broken considerably, a scenario that is commonly referred to as globalization. Presently, geographical and social barriers are no longer the primary barriers for doing business, they are the secondary hindrances, all because of globalization. However, globalization brings with it opportunities as well as challenges to the global economy. In this paper, we compare and contrast five different writings on the impact of globalization. Additionally, it has become easier to familiarize oneself with global trends through the internet. For instance, it has become easier to access more more movies, music, sports, and entertainment making it easy to learn about different cultures. However, most of the developing countries have concerns about the negative impact of globalization on their cultural setups.
